The Others View: Exhibition Evaluation and Display

Workshop session
14th May 2015, Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana

During the visit of the Philippine guests the annual exhibition by the World of Art, School for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art (SCCA – Ljubljana) will open in Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana. We will use this opportunity to evaluate the exhibition (curatorial concept and set-up) with the international guests. It will be a remarkable and unique opportunity to discuss the curatorial concepts and strategies, systems of display and formalisms of artworks with curators of another milieu. Likewise, it would provide a challenging exercise to the team from World of Art to test their statement in interacting with other views towards their own curatorial practice. It is in this discussion where we can map similarities and differences in curatorial gestures and interests between Asia and Europe communities.
